Product Description
An aluminum shell PTC heater is a type of air heater that integrates self-regulating Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) ceramic discs into a robust aluminum housing. The aluminum casing acts as both a structural component and a large-surface-area heat exchanger. When air is forced over the finned shell by a fan, the heater delivers rapid, efficient, and safe convection heating.

Product Features
-
Inherently Safe & Self-Regulating: Like all PTC heaters, the ceramic core increases its electrical resistance as temperature rises, preventing overheating. This makes it exceptionally safe, even if airflow is blocked.
-
Rapid Heat Dissipation: The aluminum shell has excellent thermal conductivity and is often designed with fins to maximize surface area. This allows for highly efficient heat transfer to the air, resulting in faster warm-up times.
-
Robust & Long-Lasting: The metal housing provides mechanical strength and durability, making it suitable for demanding applications. The self-regulating nature also reduces thermal stress, extending the heater's operational lifespan.
-
Compact & Powerful: The combination of high-performance PTC discs and an efficient heat sink allows for a high power density in a relatively compact and space-saving form factor.
Product Applications
Due to their safety, efficiency, and durability, aluminum shell PTC heaters are widely used in:
-
HVAC Systems: As heating elements in fan coil units, air handlers, heat recovery ventilators (HRVs), and electric duct heaters.
-
Electric Appliances: Including advanced hair dryers, industrial hot air blowers, and portable space heaters.
-
Automotive: For auxiliary cabin heaters and battery thermal management systems in electric vehicles.
-
Industrial Equipment: Providing safe, focused heat in process air heaters, packaging machinery, and environmental chambers.
